The Conair Massager Model WM52CS, made by a company who is famous for hair dryers, actually produced a very cost effective massager about half the price of the Hitachi Magic Wand. So what’s the difference you ask? Let’s dig in and see:

Conair
Pros
1. Price – At $28.99, it’s a price that will get any consumers attention.
2. Heated – This massager has the function to heat the area that is in need of relief.
3. 1-year Warranty included.
Cons
1. The WM52CS has been known to catch on fire! See review below.
2. The massager doesn’t have an ample amount of power.
3. The Conair is very bulky and heavy. It’s not very easy to use on yourself.

I purchased this product a year or so ago. A few months back my 15 y/o son called me to say he smelled something burning in the house. He walked into the living room and found the unit (plugged in but not turned on) was smoking and the carpet was on fire beneath it. It’s clear that the heating element burned through the side of the unit. I sent it to Conair with pieces of the carpet still melted to it, asking them to replace the unit, to please reimburse me for the damaged carpeting and to consider a recall as obviously this was a defective product. They refused to do anything and told me to “take it to the local small claims court”. I will NEVER buy another Conair product.

It’s bulky and not near powerful enough. Just buy a magic wand and you’ll be happier.

Seems like the Conair massager is priced very well but the safety and quality of the product is questionable. Please contact us if you have any questions or recommendations for future massager comparison/review.
